Adam West (19 September, 1928 – 9 June, 2017)

By now many of you will know that the most famous Batman of all time has passed away. No, Raven, not Ben Affleck. He’s still alive and well… maybe. Who cares? No, it is with an acid reflux filled heart that we say “Farewell!” to the great Adam West. Now Adam West was not the first to play Batman (That went to Lewis Gilbert Wilson -28 January, 1920 – 9 August, 2000.) Nor was Mr. West the most successful of all Batmen (That would be Christian “The Angry Man” Bale.) But he was the most popular and long-lived live-action Batman ever! Now this iconic sixties series was the epitome of the “Groovy Age.” It was, for those that have not […]

Diablo: Rise of The Hunter

Today we speak to French-Canadian actor, Jean Drolet about his role in the new Diablo fan film “Diablo: Rise of The Hunter“. How did you get involved in Diablo: Rise of The Hunter? Well two, two years ago I was invited to a private screening by a young friend of mine Carlos Cobezas. He was the film Director and Stephanie Van Rijn Vincent (Valla) was the lead actress. A year passed liking each other’s postings until I’ve been invited to a scenario first reading of DIABO: ‘’Rise of The Hunter’’. There I met Amanda Lynn Petrin (Halissa) and Luc Godbout that became DIABLO’s Film Director. We repeat one scene or two to pin point meaning sand will and then there […]

Hit by the Rebels – Fallout New Vegas

When I say “post-apocalyptic future”, what image comes to mind? I bet it looks like a desert with a whole lot of sand and maybe the ruins of city structures. One or two people might even think of city regions taken back by vines and lush vegetation, but most will see the beach without a shore line stretching as far as the eye can see. Now let me ask you to picture Nevada and Las Vegas. If you’ve seen enough Hollywood depictions, you’ll know it’s little more than the perfect place to film a movie set in a post-apocalyptic future. So much so, that if there was an earth shattering event or nuclear fallout, I’m not sure if anything would […]

Pokemon Go: The Digital Addiction

Is there an AA for gaming? I can’t seem to find it and I think I need to speak to someone about my addiction.  Since you’re here, maybe I’ll talk to you. You see, I have a problem. It’s a little problem. Okay I definitely have a problem of debatable size. It started on a normal day, a day like every other. It was a Friday, I think. I get home, drop my work stuff in the not-so-neat corner and proceed to greet my loving girlfriend. I get a vague murmur back instead of the usual eager hug and kiss, which leads me to investigate. Upon entry into my kitchen I see her hunched over her phone, swearing as she […]

Top 2016 Anticipated Album Releases

In the last year, we’ve seen a resurgence of bands that first made their mark in the ’80s and ’90s coming back with a vengeance and releasing new albums after long stints of silence. Some recent releases include Strange Little Birds by Garbage, Detour by Cyndi Lauper and Music Complete by New Order. Maybe it’s the complicated social and political climate that’s drawing out these artists from their hidden lairs. Maybe someone held up the Bat-Signal, and instead of Batman, Peter Murphy showed up and kicked off his “Stripped” tour. Although 2016 started with a big fat middle finger pointed at music fans worldwide, leaving a bad taste in all of our mouths with the recent loss of such music […]

so long and thanks for all the fish

“The time has come,” the Walrus said, “To talk of many things: Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax– Of cabbages–and kings– And why the sea is boiling hot– And whether pigs have wings.” The time has indeed come, ladies and gentlemen, to talk of other things… and indeed to move on to other things. Today I write my “final” article for 925 Rebellion. For you see folks, the time has finally come for me to step down as the head of 925 Rebellion and move on with my life. (By move on, I mean immigrate.) It’s been a blast, folks. But do not worry, we’re not going to be shutting down the website, killing the YouTube or silencing the Twitter page. In […]

Metal Pangolin’s Comic book roundup

Episode 2: Wrath of the Rise of the Planet of the Pangolins at Dusk Dr. Strange Of all the movies in Marvel studios upcoming slate that has me intrigued, Dr. Strange is is the one that will really test just how well they can put together a movie that stays well within the bounds of the universe they have already constructed while at the same time introducing new and exciting elements to it, that have up until now been absent. “Dr. Strange” will finally introduce magic or something akin to magic to the Marvel cinematic universe (MCU). The title character will be portrayed by fan favourite actor, Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) who will be joined by an all-star cast including Tilda […]
