 “This is a war to end all wars.” – American President Woodrow Wilson. Today marks the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the “Great War”. One hundred years ago today, 28th July, 1914 continuing until the 11th November, 1918, nearly 10,000,000 soldiers died and close to 30,000,000 more were wounded or went “missing” in what was up until 1939 the largest armed conflict in human history.
