Fortnite

Now I do not know about you, but I thoroughly enjoyed Team Fortress. It was a brilliant game. I got such a kick out of building defences, using unique abilities, blowing Raven off of a bridge three-dozen times. Ah, happy days. Now another thing I’ve enjoyed is fighting off waves of monsters and undead creatures, with the aid of my friends. And watching Raven get blown off of a bridge. So it should come as no surprise to you that when I found out about Epic Games, forthcoming project ‘Fortnite‘ I was blown away… like Raven, off a bridge. Now the reason I am excited about this game is quite simple: It has large nipples covered in cream-cheese. No! That […]

RTS games you should and shall play (2017)

I adore RTS (Real Time Strategy) games. I do. There is something wonderful about unleashing vast armies against your foes and indulging in a little intergalactic slaughter. Total War: Arena Now the first game on my list is an upcoming free-to-play monster created by the Creative Assembly. In this game, you and nineteen! YES! 19! You and nineteen others get a few units each with which to engage in absolute and total bloody warfare over a number of unique battlefields! Battlefleet Gothic: Armada The second game on my list came out last year. I’m more than a little surprised that it has not received as much attention as it should have. Set in the Warhammer 40K universe the game allows […]

Starship Troopers

Well my dear friends, our time is drawing to an end. In a little over five weeks I’ll be gone forever. Well, I’ll pop back in from time-to-time, but for the most part you’ll be stuck with Wookiee and his giggly boobs from now on. But before I leave you I’ll attempt to knock out a few more articles. — Now anyone with an internet connection will have heard the news that there is a new Starship Troopers film on the way. Now before we look at the trailer we’ll have a quick look at the history of this beloved franchise. Our franchise began in 1958-1959, when American author Robert A. Heinlein (7 July, 1907 – 8 May, 1988) took […]

GAMES!

I adore video games. Now this yeas, 2017, promises to be a year for some amazing video games. Let’s have a look at some of them. The Surge (It is out by now. This article was written a few weeks back. -Ed) This looks like an amazing game. From what we know of it the game combines RPG elements with unique combat experience (you use an exoskeleton suit) to help you combat across a dystopian world. Star Trek: Bridge Crew Now here’s a game for Wookiee. In this Star Trek game you and a group of “friends” take command of a Starfleet ship and engage the Klingons in a punch up or two -that is assuming you’re not beating your […]

Robo Recall (Game Preview)

Gaming. Gaming. Gaming. Gaming. Gaming. (I do hope you’re making a note of all this. -Ed) I adore video games. Mostly computer based ones. But I am open -and a little aroused- by new and interesting games on wonderfully unique platforms. Now many of you will have heard of the Oculus Rift and its groundbreaking “virtual reality” technologies. With these new ways of playing video games has come, obviously, a whole plethora of new video games. Now the one that has whet many appetites of late is Robo Recall. GAME FACT: You need an Oculus Touch to play the game. Now the game is set in the future, obviously, and revolves around a new and exciting robot technology that goes […]

Best of the worst. (Film Review)

It has been a while since we did anything film related. Oh, let’s be honest, it’s been bloody years since we looked at anything not music related. Thus today is going to be a day of some significance, for today we look at perhaps the best-worst movie ever made. Today we look at… THE ROOM (2003) Right, so we’ll jump right in with this: Wookiee made me watch this film. I’m still in therapy and have developed a morphine addiction from seeing it. (That’s my excuse and I am sticking with it!)  I am calm…. I’m calm… No I’m not….. Right, so for the dozen of you that have never seen this film let me give you a little background […]

Werewolf the Apocalypse comes to PC.

Back in October 2015 when White Wolf Studios were acquired by Paradox interactive, we all began wondering if Paradox would start churning out a plethora of branded games in the franchise. Skip to The beginning of 2017, and turns out we were both right and wrong. A new game is coming, but strangely enough it will in fact be developed by Cyanide (Blood Bowl 2, Game of Thrones, Call of C’thulu) and published by Focus Home Entertainment. Those of you who know me will know I adore White Wolf Studio’s Vampire The Masquerade, possibly beyond what you could call healthy levels. However this time round instead of the MMO Vampire the Masquerade, or Bloodlines 2 we were all expecting (read: hoping […]

The Sweetest Condition: We Defy Oblivion

It has been a little over a year since I was first introduced to music of The Sweetest Condition. Even now, after hearing “Edge Of The World” several dozen times, I am still taken aback by the shear effulgence of the album and the absolute brilliance of the duo that created it. I could fill several manuscripts explaining why I think Jason is one of the best musicians I have ever met -his command and skill with instruments is practically orgasmic. I could fill volumes describing in lurid detail why I think Leslie is among the best lyricists alive today; and why she is a phenomenal singer. I could drain a thousand inkwells enlightening the universe as to why every song released […]

Time Commanders

Anyone that knows me is aware that I am a fanatical study of military history. Granted, I enjoy history in general, but there is something captivating about military history. I do not think that there is a subject on Earth that has shaped the course of humanity like that of military history.   Case in point: if it were not for the Norman invasion of Anglo-Saxon England in 1066, England/English would not be what it is; the UK would not have been formed; the British Empire would not have happened and English would not be the most used language on Earth. Additionally, the USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, India and numerous other nations would either not exist or would probably […]

Enemy of Rome.

We recently spoke to French-Canadian, Sylvano Harvey about his recent project, Enemy of Rome. Enemy of Rome. Now that’s a concept we can get behind. How did it all begin? I can try to make it short, but it might be hard (laughing), how it started… well as a actor here in Quebec, I can say that we do not have any productions of this type, it is very rare that we can have the chance of playing something like this, even harder when you are not a « known actor » Then, there is the other fact, when we have big American productions, like 300 and Immortal etc. they look always for tall and very built people, 6’ and […]
