So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

“The time has come,” the Walrus said, “To talk of many things: Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax– Of cabbages–and kings– And why the sea is boiling hot– And whether pigs have wings.” “The time has indeed come, ladies and gentlemen, to talk of other things… and indeed to move on to other things. Today I write my “final” article for 925 Rebellion. For you see folks, the time has finally come for me to step down as the head of 925 Rebellion and move on with my life. (By move on, I mean emigrate.) It’s been a blast, folks.” – Me, last year. It’s been just over a year since I wrote this article, and now, finally, I am on my […]

Diablo: Rise of The Hunter

Today we speak to French-Canadian actor, Jean Drolet about his role in the new Diablo fan film “Diablo: Rise of The Hunter“. How did you get involved in Diablo: Rise of The Hunter? Well two, two years ago I was invited to a private screening by a young friend of mine Carlos Cobezas. He was the film Director and Stephanie Van Rijn Vincent (Valla) was the lead actress. A year passed liking each other’s postings until I’ve been invited to a scenario first reading of DIABO: ‘’Rise of The Hunter’’. There I met Amanda Lynn Petrin (Halissa) and Luc Godbout that became DIABLO’s Film Director. We repeat one scene or two to pin point meaning sand will and then there […]

Star wars videos: episode 2

Not so long ago, in basements, dorm rooms and anywhere with a decent pc, fans were slaving away making fan videos….. Guardians of the galaxy star wars trailer Mashup Alex luthor’s Mashup videos are always on point and pretty well done to say the least. This is no exception. When Guardians of the Galaxy was released it was hailed by some as the next Star wars, but we all know that Star wars remains the dominant sci-fi epic. So to put these two in one epic trailer makes for some entertaining viewing. Mad max/Star wars Mashup The popularity of the latest instalment in the mad max movies was sure to lead to this. Watch as furiosa brandishes a lightsaber and […]

Neverending Downloads

As many of you know, I recently purchased Fallout 4. It is a fantastic game. I absolutely adore it. But! There was one minor issue that got under my skin -the download. Granted it is the main part of modern gaming culture. But having to wait hour upon hour before you can enjoy your purchase is just heartbreaking. In fact, so much of our time is spent downloading the latest patch, fix, and update that we, particularly in developing nations, get far less time than we’d like to using our products. Hell, most of us usually get a few hours in on a Sunday afternoon unless there’s a large update that needs to happen first. Work it out. I have […]

Wookiee Wednesday Westwood Wonderment

Hey there kids, come sit round and listen to an old man grumble about the good old days of gaming. You see back before the time of you younglings, there was more to gaming than Call of Duty, DOTA, and World of Warcraft (and their numerous clones that you are now telling me are better for an infinite number of pointless reasons, that are meaningless to anyone but you). One of the absolute highlights of this golden (well I suppose Silver, Gold probably belongs to the NES) age of gaming was Westwood Studios, who until EA sent in their hordes of salesmen to ruin all their franchises, was one of the pinnacles of the industry. Founded in October 1985 (meaning […]

You Porn?

I recently watched an interesting British documentary about how modern children, some as young as five, have access to hardcore pornography thanks to our modern, online and interconnected world. For those interested the documentary ‘Porn on the brain’ can be seen here. Now after watching this documentary I decided to write an article on this concerning subject matter. Though, I am not a parent. Far from it in fact. Nor am I going to become one! So the only logical thing I could do was to speak to an actual parent and get some advice for you from them. Fortunately my good friend Pippa Tshabalala was keen to throw her weight behind me, my article, and share her thoughts with […]

Without Your Head Horror Radio

Today we speak to America’s best, and probably zaniest, podcasters, Neal Jones and Without Your Head. Would you care to introduce yourself? I am “Nasty” Neal Jones of Without Your Head Horror Radio. What drew you towards the world of reviews and interviews? I grew up loving wrestling and movies. I started a pro wrestling podcast in 2005 names In Your Head. We did a Halloween special that year and called in Without Your Head. I enjoyed it so we started doing WYH as it’s own show. I started the interviews primarily with veteran actors and directors etc. People from films I grew up watching. People seem to enjoy talking to us and I enjoy learning about people not just […]

Geek XP -02

Well we were interviewed by the lads from GeekXP a few weeks ago. So we interviewed them for 925. Now this interview turned into a monster as all three members of GeekXP sent us responses. So here is part 2 of the interview. So let’s start with the basics. What drew you three to Geek? Fantasy was my first exposure to Geekdom. I had a vivid imagination as a kid so I ended up reading a lot of fantasy. From there I started playing card games, watching anime, playing tabletop games and roleplaying. What’s the history of GeekXP? Les Allen is just a generous guy who wanted more people to be able to experience really cool and geeky things, so […]

Geek XP -01

Well we were interviewed by the lads from GeekXP a few weeks ago. So we interviewed them for 925. Now this interview turned into a monster as all three members of GeekXP sent us responses. So here is part 1 of the interview. So let’s start with the basics. What drew you three to Geek? My earliest memory is watching States Wars -Return of The Jewish in the cinema: the scene where Darth Vader was unmasked. That set the benchmark for my interests as life chugged merrily forward. What’s the history of GeekXP? It all began with a conversation with Les. He said, “I have a cunning plan.” I replied, “Well, if it’s a plan so cunning, if you stuck […]
