Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

I love food. Food is fantastic. It’s one of the few things that unites humanity. No matter where you are from. No matter who your people are. No matter what you like to eat. Food brings us together.
Though there is one sort of food I love above all others. And that’s “real” food. Nothing fancy. Nothing pretentious. Nothing snobbish. Just good old fashioned home-style cooking and plenty of it.

So obviously the American TV show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Triple D) instantly appealed to my love of good food.

Starting in 2007 this simple look at all things food in North America has gone on to produce 200+ episodes and well over a dozen seasons each of which is soaked in rich desserts, mounds of potatoes and luscious barbeque sauce. And let’s not forget all the meat you could ever eat.

And let us not fail to mention that the show is hosted by one of the most flamboyant and excitable chaps (He’s got more spring than Zebedee) in TV history -Guy Fieri.


Fieri, a mad Italian American, chef and restaurateur has nearly thirty years of culinary skill and training under his belt as well as numerous eateries and establishments across North America -particularly in California where he resides.

There’s is not much else I can say about this fantastic show apart from: If you like food. Then go and watch this culinary masterpiece.
